All firefighters that have joined the department since 1990 are required to pass the Mississippi Volunteer Firefighter Certification Program.  A number of our members have completed the Certified Volunteer FF II program offered by the Mississippi State Fire Academy.

We subdivided our district into four areas of coverage. Our Standard Operation Guidelines have all personnel respond to structure fires with personnel from the response area covering all other calls. The two closest Engines respond on the first page along with all the Tankers on structure fires.
